Whoa. I thought Methos and Cassandra were the last immortals anywhere near that age (and the series says Methos is only around 5).

Will we find out who Connor's recent power upgrade was? Or doesn't it matter?

Sorry, Draco, but I'm afraid I don't recognize who "Damien" is. Should I? Or does this relate to my previous paragraph?

How ironic. Batman asks two of the Immies who can do the most with their Quickening (despite their relatively young ages) what age does to the Quickening.

Also Ryan knows the (supposedly) oldest Immortal running around.

Looking forward to seeing where this goes.

i was about to write, "holy 'fill in the blank'," but that seems a little cliche. so, WHOA!

I wonder who the villain is. For a moment I thought it might have been clayface but that wouldn't be remotely correct, and since I don't really follow the B-man universe I don't have a clue as to who it really is.

Is this a sequel to 'Edge' or a further down the time-line piece in the same universe?

Cheers D! I like the story so far, I love anytime batman comes out and delivers a can of whoop ass on super people heheh. Everyone always underestimates him. Cheers, hope you do more of this!

I'm pleased your starting another Batman story. I do like the way you portray him as not having any trouble fighting both an immortal or a vampire at the same time. I must admit I find it curious he would just attack them on sight but undoubtedly we will find out why later... Also a great intro for the villain at the start. I would like to find out who he will be revenging himself on!

This "Batman" sure comes out as a prick.

So, he doesn't kill, but has no objection to breaking the knee of somebody he's only just met.

Oh, wow. This is so amazingly *GREAT*. Batman and the Chessmans in the same story! I believe this happens in the same universe as your previous Batman/Highlander fic, right?

Update soon, please.

Wow.
I've been a fan of Crys' work for a long time now. Seeing Ryan get his butt whooped was interesting. For a minute, I forgot who he was fighting. And that the Bat knew -- and had a UV light on his belt -- how to take on vamps was a nice touch.

Interesting. Going to continue it?
Hm.
Good work.

OK, very interesting start.

More soon, please.

That's nice. Batman seems godlike compared to the Immortals. Your description of the fight is very easy to understand and doesn't feel rushed. Flawless.

So...Is batman an asshole or is there a higher purpose...

PS I really want to see a fic were batman tries something like this gets his ass handed to him and then the people call the police, or leave him tied up in his own cloak.

Wow, riveting fight scene. A real sense of the two being totally outmatched by the Batman. Seems a bit of an overreaction on his part in his attack, though, even if he thinks he's protecting McLeod. Wouldn't canon Batman ask questions first? Did he know from the start that Ryan was an immortal, or was that something he picked up during the fight (and so dealt out punishment that, hopefully, he wouldn't normally to to a mortal)? Good read, thanks.

Huh? What was that?

Malaskor posted a comment on Monday 16th January 2006 5:34pm

Interesting but also strange beginning.
Looking forward to seeing the answer to the big WHY? Why were they there? Why did Batman attack them? Why was Connor not there? etc.

Keep it up. And thanks for sharing

Ah, we're doing the "I'll kill anything that gets in my way, if I can convince myself it's not human" Batman.

From the way that Crys has written Ryan and Jennifer, I think Batman may have just earned himself an Immortal enemy.
